Does your office manage ADHD medications?

Please go to our services page to review the types of appointments we currently offer, including consults and coaching. We can manage your medications through our coaching program.

What if I am a former patient of The Connecticut Center for ADHD?

We will be welcoming previous ADHD Center patients who were seen in 2020 with just a transfer of records until January 1, 2022. All former patients from the ADHD Center will have the option of enrolling in our ADHD Coaching program, or can opt-in for medication management only. If you are a patient from 2020 and would like more information about your options, please click here.

From January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022, we will still accept former patients seen in 2020 at The Connecticut Center for ADHD. However the patient will need to complete an assessment for our practice first.

After December 31, 2022 any former patients from The Connecticut Center for ADHD seen in 2020 will be viewed as a new patient to our practice.

Any former patients from The Connecticut Center for ADHD not seen in 2020 will also be considered a new patient to our practice.

Only previous patients from The Connecticut Center for ADHD who were seen at that location in 2020 and who have contacted us prior to January 1, 2023 will have the option for medication management only. All other patients must enroll in our ADHD Coaching program to receive medication management.

Do you see patients in-office at all?

We primarily see our patients via telemedicine. If an appointment is scheduled for our office in Rocky Hill, CT, it will be at the provider’s discretion, and will always be specified beforehand.

What insurance policies do you accept?

When you request an appointment with us, you will be taken to a HIPAA compliant, third-party website through a patient portal. The patient portal contains all of our updated insurance information. If we do not accept your insurance policy at this time, you may inquire about our cash prices.

For more specific questions about your coverage, please direct your questions to your insurance provider.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to see you?

That depends on your specific insurance plan. Please contact your insurance company for details.

Do you see patients from any state other than Connecticut?

We are only licensed to see patients in the state of Connecticut at this time.

Do you take adult patients as well as pediatric patients?

We are primarily a pediatric office treating patients under the age of 25. We will only be able to work with adult patients on a limited basis and under certain circumstances. Adults over 18 may apply at any time. We will review your medical records and accept patients on a case-by-case basis.

Can I call you to schedule an appointment?

We do not take appointment requests via phone at this time. If you are interested in making a request for an appointment, please click here to go to our services page or scroll down.

Can I call and request changes to my prescription(s)?

Changes can only be made at your appointments. If you need a change to your prescription prior to your next appointment, the appointment will be rescheduled to accommodate you.

Can I call and request another prescription be sent to my pharmacy?

No. If you need another prescription prior to your next appointment, the appointment will be rescheduled to accommodate you.

When I apply to be a patient, am I applying for consulting or coaching or both?

All new patients will generally apply to be part of the practice first. After you send us your medical records, we will give you an intake packet to complete. This intake packet will give us more information about what you need and what program you would be a good candidate for. Generally speaking, patients without a history of ADHD will have to start with the consulting program before coaching can be considered.

When I sign up for consulting or coaching, which provider will I be seeing?

When you apply to be a patient, we will review all of your medical records and your intake packet first. Who you see first will depend on a variety of factors such as your medical history, age, needs or concerns, or schedule and availability. We will do our best to fit the patient with the best provider for them.

Can I schedule an appointment for an educational service (e.g. advocacy, tutoring, etc) only?

All patients must be accepted through the practice generally before they can schedule with our teacher, Mary. Please visit our services page or scroll down to apply to be a patient.

Can you send a copy of my ADHD test results to my school/doctor/workplace?

If you have a positive diagnosis for ADHD, we can send a letter of diagnosis free of charge to anywhere you like. If you need a full report, please consult your ADHD provider. Full reports come at an extra fee.

Can you treat my child’s comorbid condition along with their ADHD?

We treat ADHD as a primary concern along with its comorbid conditions. However, if we find that a co-occurring condition (including depression, anxiety, and or other mood related condition) becomes the primary concern, we will refer your child out for targeted care in that area from a licensed behavioral health care provider in the appropriate area of expertise.
